Typically, terminals use third-party software for managing a card database. This software keeps track of the RFID Tag IDs, whether cards are active or not, and encodes the terminal-specific data onto it, such as a business key. For example, if a card is encoded with the truck's permanent BAT number, the software sends the BAT number to N4 for the card. In addition, if the truck needs a replacement card, the software links the new RFID tag to the existing BAT number for the truck and sends N4 the same BAT number. You can use the Tag ID field in N4 for raw cards that are handed out and use N4 as the card management database. However, N4 is not designed to display this value in a gate form. The intent is for a user to enter the RFID Tag ID in a gate form.
Displays a text field for the clerk to enter the transaction number and search for the gate transaction at the gate stage.
Displays a text field for the clerk to enter the truck ID.

Displays a text field for the clerk to enter the truck license plate number. When you enter the truck license number in a gate stage form, N4 automatically displays the Driver Name (on page 1), if the field is included in the Truck Details area, based on the last truck visit against the truck license number
The Truck License entered in a gate stage form is sent to XPS and is used to identify the truck in the yard.
Displays a text field for the user to enter a trucking company ID in a gate form. You can configure this field in your gate forms if you want the gate clerks to be able to enter Trucking Company IDs that do not already exist in N4.

Displays a lookup field of trucking company IDs in a truck visit form.
If the Driver Card (on page 1) or Truck License (on page 1) field also exists on a truck visit form, when a clerk enters a driver card (or driver card is filled in from a scan) or truck license, N4 restricts the data in the Trucking Company field's list of values as follows:
If the driver card or truck license is associated with one trucking company, then N4 automatically fills in the Trucking Company field. In this case, the list of values contains only the associated trucking company and a blank entry that the clerk can select if the associated trucking company is not correct.
If a value already exists in the Trucking Company field, N4 overwrites this value for the driver card scenario above. However, N4 does not overwrite this value for the truck license scenario.
If the driver card or truck license is associated with more than one trucking company, then N4 does not automatically fill in the Trucking Company field. Instead, N4 lists all of the associated trucking companies in the list of values.
If the driver card or truck license is not associated with a trucking company in N4, then N4 lists all of the trucking companies in the list of values for the clerk to select.
When a clerk selects a trucking company in the Trucking Company field on a truck visit form, the selected trucking company pre-populates in the Trucking Co Id field on a gate transaction form for the clerk to edit if desired, if this field is also displayed on the gate transaction form.
See also, Trucking Co Id (on page 1).
Displays a lookup field for the gate clerk to select an existing Truck ID during a gate transaction. If you have also included the Trucking Company (on page 1) field in the gate form and the user selects the trucking company first, N4 restricts the Truck IDs displayed for this field to include only the trucks associated with the selected trucking company. However, if the user does not select a trucking company first, N4 displays all the Truck IDs.
Navis recommends that you add the Trucking Id field in the Trk Visit form (on page 1) only for the first gate stage because when the first gate stage completes, the truck visit is created with the truck and driver details, which is then carried over to the subsequent gate stages.
